Description
A hidden treasure in Winthrop Lane! It's easy to miss these bronze reliefs set into the brick road, which celebrate Boston's past and present. Many refer to famous events, including the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Marathon. Others show characteristics associated with Boston and its residents. One depicts a Boston driver, turned into a monster behind the wheel, to illustrate the city's reputation for nightmarish traffic. Courtesy of Boston Art Commission.
