If something this exciting ever happened in Boston Harbor today, the waterfront would be more fun. On June 23, 1953, the 6,000-ton Cuban sugar freighter Bahia de Nuevitas was struck by a gust of wind as it tried to slip through the narrow opening of the Summer Street drawbridge on Fort Point Channel.
