ABOUT THE HISTORICAL PHOTOGRAPHS
Every city on the east coast seems to have a street like this, set one block back from
the ocean and built up solidly on both sides. God or Congress or someone decided that there would be only four choices for its name: Front Street, Water Street, commercial Street, or Atlantic Avenue. Ours is Atlantic, although a few blocks farther along, it becomes Commercial. In both views, we're looking north toward the comer of State Street.
