ABOUT THE HISTORICAL PHOTOGRAPHS
"Only the name remains to remind us that Church Green, at the intersection of Summer and Bedford streets near South Station, was once the site of a graceful church. Designed by Charles Bulfinch, architect of Faneuil Hall and the State House, the New South Church – seen in the older photo – stood there from 1818 until1868.
