"We’re looking at Bowdoin Square, near Beacon Hill, with Cambridge Street angling at left toward the
Charles River. The old photo (about 1900) shows the big double Blake-Tuckerman house, built in 1815 by Samuel Parkman, a wealthy merchant, for two of his daughters and their husbands.
