The new LAPD Memorial for Fallen Officers is situated on the public plaza to the east of the new LAPD Headquarters facility. It is located in this public plaza to form a threshold between the larger more formal space for police ceremonies that face the City Hall to the north, and an informal community garden for congregation and contemplation that faces St. Vibiana’s church to the south.
