Description
A "still life" of bronze spheres sits on balustrades flanking the academic entrance of the University of Connecticut Health Center. These spheres represent modern issues of health and research, and were selected in collaboration with the hospital's teaching faculty. Ann Barclay Morgan writes in Sculpture, "Each sphere represents a natural form of hugely varying scale, such as a retina and the earth, pointing to the search for a fundamental understanding of natural structures."
