Sculpture inspired by the scissor-tailed flycatcher, the Oklahoma state bird, the Oklahoma City SkyDance Bridge Sculpture has taken shape near downtown. Physically spanning over the east bound lane of I-40, the Sculpture is constructed of painted steel tri-chord trusses with a striking complex stainless steel panel system invented by the design team as an abstraction of "feathers".
