West Point Foundry Preserve - Kim Mathews
Description
The project is about stabilizing the ruins of a nineteenth- century foundry within an 87 acre forested valley. To respect the site's history and ecology, existing paths and new ones along former rail lines connect the building ruins. There are several displays which teach visitors about the foundry's role in the Civil War and its contribution to the American Industrial Revolution.
