Description
Four related sculptures inhabit a new storm water facility in Madison Valley where flooding has been a problem. Interactions between trees, stone and other natural forces will shift, heave and crack the blocks over time, continuing the form-making process that has been initiated.
Some of the compositions abstractly refer to things people lost in the floods – books, dishes, clothing and fabrics. They hint at nature’s power to destroy, but also to heal and repair.
