This is a paved promenade on the North and south banks of the New River. These historic banks where indigenous locals traded with early settlers are the birthplace of the modern city of Fort Lauderdale. Riverwalk links the major sites and institutions fo the Arts and Entertainment District, the Historic District, the historic Stranahan House and Las Olas Boulevard.
